UPCOMING PROJECT LAUNCH EVENTS:

We invite Project Launch Mentors to join us for the Winter Holiday Party on December 17th from 4:00-6:00 pm! This will take place on the 1st floor during our usual workshop time. RAW Seniors and Mentors are welcome to enjoy food, games, and get in the winter spirit here before break.

New Offering: Mentor Circles are virtual, off-hours opportunities for Project Launch Mentors to connect with other mentors, build knowledge, and practice skills related to being the best mentor you can be. MMP will host monthly on the 3rd Thursday!

November 20th from 5:30-7:00 pm: Join MMP for a guided reflection on the differences & similarities between mentors and mentees shaped by inequities in our society, through “cultural humility”. Learn how cultivating this skill helps mentors overcome barriers in a relationship when approached with empathy & growth.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES:

Interested in service activities to try with your mentee? The City of Lynn hosts park clean-ups on Saturday mornings — show your mentee a great way to give back!

Saturday, November 22 (10am-5pm) +
Sunday, November 23 (11am-4pm): Looking for a fun arts event? Meet your mentee at Open Studios. Showcasing 40+ artists and craftspeople, this provides visitors with an opportunity to engage with local artists, purchase their work, and discover the stories behind their creations. This family-friendly event is free + public.

• Colleges & Universities: North Shore CC, Salem State, BU, Suffolk, Emerson, Endicott, Montserrat College of Art, MassArt — schedule an admissions tour in advance!

• Museums: Lynn Arts + Museum, Peabody Essex Museum, ICA, Salem Arts Association, MFA, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum — request passes from local libraries!

• Outdoor Spaces: Lynn Woods, Rose Garden, Kings Beach, Nahant Beach, Commons
